Overview
With Zaius’ templates feature, you can save the structure and the design of your content (e.g. for emails, web embeds/modals, SMS), so that you could reuse it and update it in your future campaigns. We highly recommend using templates for their time-saving benefits!
Create a template
You can save a layout as a template in the Zaius Engagement Designer, as you are working on your email, web modal, or embed.
To do this, click on the down caret by the Load Template button and click Save as a Template.
You can now select whether you want to create a brand new template or replace an existing one.
Replacing an existing template allows you to overwrite a previously saved template; however, this action will not affect any previously created layouts that are using that template. For instance, if you were to remove the header element from an email, then replace another template with the current “header-less” design, other emails previously created from this template will not lose their header elements.
When you are replacing an existing template, Zaius will let you select from your existing templates in the drop-down.
In the Load Template window, you can search for templates or sort them by alphabetical, date created, and date updated order.
Manage & Edit a Template
Edit a Template
If you wish to edit a template, you’ll first need to open up the Load Template window in the designer.
To simply edit the name of a template, you can hover over a template and click on the pencil icon to make your edits.
If you need to make edits to the layout of a template, you need to apply it in the designer, make your changes, then use the Save As Template function to replace the current version.
Delete a Template
To delete a template, hover over a template in the Load Template window, then click on the trash icon.
Duplicate a template
To duplicate a template, you need to load it into the designer, then, if you want to store a saved version of the copy, use the Save As function.
