Sometimes there is not enough data to ensure that certain products show their best inside of dynamic grids. For instance, if the platform is not aware of the image link for a given product, then that product will not appear in a desirable way within dynamic content—imagine a grid of product recommendations, where one of the images is missing. The Content Shield Filter automatically protects against these scenarios.
The Content Shield Filter is automatically applied to all product-based dynamic grids. This is indicated in the dynamic grid configuration modal by the shield icon next to the Content Feed option. If the Content Feed is set to Products, the Content Shield will be automatically applied, and the icon will appear. If the Content Feed is set to any value other than Products, the Content Shield will not be applied.
Configuring the Content Shield Filter
Navigate to the Administration section via the cog in the top right corner of the app, and locate the Content Shield Filter page.
The Content Shield Filter can be configured in a similar manner to a typical filter on the Filters page. An important distinction is that, for the Content Shield Filter, only product-based fields can be selected, as the content shield is intended to filter out only content-unsafe products from campaign content.
Default Content Shield Configuration
The default configuration for the Content Shield ensures that all products that appear in dynamic grids have a name, price, and image url.
If desired, the configuration can be restored to its default state by clicking the "Revert to Default" button at the top right corner of the page.
Immediate Affect to Live Campaigns
If the Content Shield is modified, it will affect all active campaigns. Consider this when making any changes to the filter.
