Overview
Zaius’ Facebook Lead Capture integration allows you to identify and sync over leads generated by your brand’s Facebook ads. After syncing these leads into your Zaius account, you can target them with omnichannel messages that will push them further down the funnel to purchase.
Values & Benefits
- Subscribe leads captured in Facebook to Zaius lists and automatically set their marketing content statuses to opted-in.
- Compare your Facebook ads-generated leads to leads from other sources and evaluate the effectiveness of your Facebook ads based on the quality of leads:
- Are these leads more valuable than others?
- Are they spending more with your brand?
- Are they becoming loyal customers at higher rates?
- Use data points captured by Facebook in your Zaius campaigns as triggers for behavioral campaigns or for advanced personalization in other campaigns.
Configuration
- Enable the Facebook Lead Capture app in Zaius’ App Directory: Click on the Facebook Lead Capture tile, then click on the Install App button.
- Under the Settings tab, click on the Authorize button and follow the prompts to authorize the connection between your Facebook Business and Zaius accounts. If you have multiple Facebook pages, make sure that you are selecting the one you’d like to sync with Zaius.
- To verify the authorization was successful, check that your Facebook page appears under the Connected Pages list in the Authorization section. Note that this is not a historical sync, and Zaius will be syncing over leads captured in Facebook going forward.
- Next, click into the Lead Forms section under the Settings tab. From the Configure Lead Form drop-down, select a form you use for lead capturing in Facebook.
- When you select a form from the drop-down, the integration will automatically detect standard contact information, such as name, email address, and phone number, and map these to the corresponding Zaius customer fields.
- If your lead form is more complex and includes custom questions that cannot be auto-detected, you’ll need to configure your fields in the Lead Form section in Zaius. (This is only necessary if you want to store those values on the customer profile. Any questions without mapping will be ignored.)
In our example below, we are mapping the Facebook question “Zip code” to the Zaius field, “Zip.” After we select “Zip” from the drop-down, we’ll click Done to complete the configuration. - You can also select a target list for each lead form. To automatically add leads captured in Facebook to a Zaius list, select a list from the List Subscription drop-down. The submission of a Facebook form will automatically be captured as an opt-in to marketing communications in Zaius. Note that there is no list selected by default, so you’ll need to configure this manually for each lead form.
Best Practices
- To make your leads’ form submissions are meaningful, make sure that you are capturing their email addresses and phone numbers, as those work as identifiers in Zaius.
- If you make any changes to your lead capture forms in your Facebook accounts, like updating the fields captured, make sure that you update the connection by clicking on the Reload from Facebook button.
Data Captured in Zaius
When a new lead is submitted, Zaius will do the following:
- Create or update a customer profile with the fields mapped from the lead form questions.
- At a minimum, this will contain
email
and/orphone
. - Opt-in each of the submitted identifiers (email and/or phone).
